Those storms!

I saw this quote and it made me think! Some storms in life can knock us down.  But how far are your roots? When I think of a storm I think of the loud thunder, crazy wind, and me stuck inside.  We usually have heard the forecast and knew it was coming so we buckle down.  But sometimes there are those crazy storms that hit you fast and hard and you are in the middle of the Flash flood.  What do you do then?

On a spiritual note I have had little storms in life that I thought I was totally prepared for.  I thought my roots went in deep  and I thought I could take it, but after the storm I realized I was so not ready for that storm to hit.  I walked away with some broken branches and I was stuck all alone!  I did hide in my house thinking I may be safer here.  I know that the deeper my relationship goes with the Lord the better I will stand in a storm.   I  have realized I should not be alone and I will reach out to those that I know will pray for me, and lift me up, and encourage me.  I may sway back and fourth a bit. I may get wet, but my roots are strong in the ground. Thankful that I have the word of God to plant my roots in!  Storms just make us stronger.

I love the workouts we do!
This one feels so good!!
You would think that I knew it was that easy.  Nope I didn't.  So at the end of April I started working out with Gayla and she also has been coaching me in how to eat better.  I LOVE it! I have introduced myself to so many new things and I have to admit I am in love with Vegis and fruits! I am listening to my body way more and I am starting to make better choices for my family and myself.   Since I started I have lost 9 pounds and have gained muscle and bone mass.  I have way more energy then before and I just feel amazing! We work out at the Lake and the park and I love being able to see myself do things I never thought I could.  I have been taking a few pictures here and there of the process of eating and exercising.  I am looking forward to living this way forever.  It's not a diet its a new way of living. !00% California Girl

My little girl loves the Beach. She loves her Roxy t-shirts, flip flops and shorts.  She loves the feel of the sand between her toes and the softness of the sand on her fingertips.  She ran to the water so excited to feel it again and splash with her feet and feel the spray of ocean upon her face. This is my California Girl! As we walked away from the water she said, "Mom I can't wait to get in there on my Surf Board this summer." She is like the sunshine in these images.  Beautiful, bright, and Happy and the Sun just makes you feel so good! Thats my girl! I love it!!! So after my photo shoot I just let her play and I caught it with my camera.  Loved capturing these images of my Girl!

Mommy Prayer!!!

" Commit to the Lord whatever you do and plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:3

AHHH.... That is how I feel right at this moment.  For the past three weeks Jimmy has worked everyday.  In the midst of this I have been running to and from School, working in the classroom, going to soccer practice and games, birthday parties, church fun and photo shoots.  Being mommy after school and doing homework, and trying to keep up with the house. I feel worn out and I feel the stress of life creeping in on me.  I hate it! Then in the fullness of the schedule we had a slab leak  in the living room! For the past few days my son has been so difficult.  He doesn't want to go to school, he doesn't want to do anything we are doing and has been out right disobeying me!! Right at this moment I feel like I have failed as a mommy.  I don't understand why he gets like this and what I am I doing wrong???  Why??? WHY??? WHY son are you doing this and acting this way? I asked him this tonight and he said, "I don't know." I love being a mommy! I love the joy that I get when I see my babies faces! I love it when I hear their laughter, and when they tell me they love me.  I love watching them grow into the person that God has created them to be. I am thankful that I get to watch them grow and that I get to be a part of  their daily life everyday.  My Prayer for the night!

Dear Lord thank you so much for all that you have blessed me with.  Thank you that I am the one that gets to see my kids to school and that I get to be in their classroom.  I pray Lord that you are molding me daily into the Mother that I need to be for Alexis. I pray that I am teaching her how to be a daughter of the King.  That I pour into her what you want me to.  I pray Lord that you give me the words that she needs to hear and the verse to pray over her Life.  Thank you God for such a beautiful Little Girl that loves you with her whole heart. Lord I pray that you please mold me into the Mother that Eli needs me to be.  Help me to see him like you see him and to not break his strong will, but to mold it. I pray that when times are hard and I may say things to him that are hurtful that I say what you would say to me.  God he is such an amazing little boy that has such a gentle spirit I pray that we see that more often. Thank you Lord for my two beautiful Children!

The verse at the top spoke to me tonight and I pondered upon it.  I know that God is with me and all I need to do is slow down and rest.  I will do that and focus on a what I need to first.  I also pray that We will have a family time again soon.  We did have an awesome 4 day weekend away last month and I am so thankful for that.  I am looking forward to our next family excursion.

Blessings,
Chela

Love!!!

I know Valentines was last month, but I just  have to share these images that I captured of my two sweet Valentines.
