Fall is here!

Fall is my favorite holiday for so many reasons! I have great memories as a child of the fall time. I love talking about what we are thankful for and the blessings that we have seen through out the year! I love the coziness of the home at that time and I love the colors all around us.  The smells all around us and the yummy hot drinks! Decorating my house for fall is more fun to me then decorating for Christmas.  Even though the weather has been in the 90's I still had to decorate my house.  I am hoping it will inspire the weather to get a bit colder.  I was inspired by some pinterest things this year so I made a pumpkin with our initial on it. I am super excited to do some fun crafts with the kids too! We will start those next week!! Yeah I can't wait! I love fall!!! SO Thankful its that time of year again!

Something smells yummy!

You can find these at any Grocery store or Target
Yeah its finally fall and we are baking in the Williams home.  I love to bake with my with kids! It is such a fun  time to teach the kids about cooking and how to use the oven, and the safety rules in the kitchen.  It is  also is a fun way to  teach them how to read a recipe and  use fractions.  I love it! My Favorite part is making a mess with my kids and having FUN!! So today it was Chocolate chip cookies using the Ghiradeli Recipe.  We made our amazing cookies from scratch.  (we loved eating the raw dough too)  I included the recipe.  So if you have any kind of chocolate chips in the house you still can make this great cookie Recipe! Big Ouch!

Friday after school right as I am walking up to the school campus I get a call on my phone that Eli fell off the monkey bars and is crying in pain.  His arm is hurt and he can't move.  I ran to him quickly as I saw the crowd of mommies all around him.  I knew right then he was hurt badly.  We moved him quickly to the nurses office.  Eli said to me, "Mommy I prayed to Jesus to heal me." Oh I love the faith of a small child.  It was a quick drive the ER and after some meds and X-rays it was confirmed he Broke his elbow and wrist. Ouch buddy!

As a mommy I was torn.  I was shooting a wedding in two hours and I had to leave my little guy in the hands of our great friends.  I knew he would be fine and I knew that He was in God's hands too! Jimmy was on his way, but fighting traffic.  I cried all the way home and thought about him the whole night. It hurt me so badly to see him in  that much pain and I couldn't make it better.  He was a trooper and Daddy did an awesome job taking care of him and BIG sister too! Alexis was a Rock star with her Brother and he wanted her with him the whole time!

It's Sunday now and the past two nights have been so hard.  He is in so much pain and not sleeping.
(mommy and daddy are not sleeping either.) This is so hard seeing your son in so much pain and not knowing when we should see that Doctor again or is this drama.  (cause Eli is a lot like his mommy and knows how to add the drama) This weekend has been quite hard.  I hate seeing our little guy like this and everyday I am praying over him.  I know that there is something in this time we  are being taught. One day at a time.  RIGHT???  I just pray for patience and gentleness.  We are so tired and I want to make sure he is comfortable and healing quickly.

She is 11!!!

Our little girl, our gift that we were so blessed with 11 years ago has stolen our hearts! From the moment she was born she has amazed us with her awesome character, her loyalty, her joy, her kindness, her sweet spirit and her love for Christ! She was not part of our plan when we found out she was on her way, but she was part of God's plan and when I look at her I am reminded that God's plan is always better then ours. Alexis Noelle has taught us so much about ourselves.  When she sees a need of someone else her immediate reaction is to pray for them.  She is one that prays without ceasing.  Her light for Jesus shines where ever she goes.  She has taught me to see the positive in all people.  We feel so blessed that God gave us such a delightful little girl that has a passion for life!

Getting ready for the New School year... Spiritually!

Alexis and Eli.  Two amazing little people that God has blessed Jimmy and I with.  When Alexis was in the 2nd grade and invited to go on a brownie field trip I hesitated.  I was so fearful of what could happen to her.  When I felt the fear in me building up I called out to God and asked him for guidance.  The Lord clearly said to me, "she is mine and I have her in my hands. Whenever you are not with her I am always with her.  She is my child your gift.  Do you TRUST me Chela?"  If I let my fear rule over my children then I would rob them of so many life experiences and I would not be trusting in what God could do.  From that time on I knew that my babies were in his hands everywhere they went. This past summer I had a lot quiet time with the Lord and he spoke to me about my children.  He laid this on my heart to do this special thing this year and I can't wait to do it.  I bought two little spiral journals that I put their names at the top and wrote what their name means and two key verses that I felt were just for them and verses that I wanted to pray over them.  I am going to write to them prayers, things I see in them, mommy love notes and memories and lessons learned in this new school year.  I am so excited to see all that God has before my children.  I am excited to watch them grow into amazing servants of God.  In 10 years from now they can go back and read these notes and cherish them and hold them tight and see what God planned for them.  I am Excited! Thank you God

Good old summer FUN!

On Saturday we stayed home and had a fun day exploring around the house.  We washed the kids bikes and that led to a super fun time with the water hose.  I remember when I was kid and we didn't have a pool, or a ton of other things but we had a hose and a big back yard and that equalled some fun! So the kids filled up a bucket and played for a long time outside. I loved hearing their laughter from inside the house.  I love it when the kids use their imaginations and explore outside a bit and have a good time.  Now these are the memories they will remember and I love that!
